"Faith in the future is not dead in our hearts.
Better still, it is this hope, deepened and purified, which seems bound to save us." Teilhard de Chardin
Thank you for visiting my website, and I hope the information you find here will help you to make a decision about accessing counselling. I am aware that it is often a big step to get this far, especially for the first time.
I am a trained counsellor (Dip Cou) in a person-centred approach since 1995, and have been particularly interested in the interface between psychological therapy and spirituality for many years. I am currently undergoing further training in psychosynthesis counselling at the Psychosynthesis and Education Trust in London and finding this approach is extremely helpful in allowing clients to integrate their experience more deeply. I am a member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and of ACC (Association of Christian Counsellors).
Psychological pain and hurt occur in all of us at different stages of our life, but it is often at moments of crisis that we become more acutely aware of this. It is at these times that we feel in need of a confidential space in which we can share our deepest pain or fears, and work towards some resolution.
Counselling can help with any of the following, but remember that this is not a limited list:
- Anxiety and stress
- Relationship difficulties
- Anger and frustration
- Bereavement and loss
- Low confidence and self-esteem
- Self-harming impulses
- Isolation and experiences of discrimination
Please contact me to discuss any of these, or more, in confidence
